Dear [name] New SPAM Filtering Enabled On Monday afternoon, March 13, Ingenuity Hosting enabled a new method of SPAM filtering on all mailboxes known as "greylisting". Greylisting is a relatively new method of blocking significant amounts of SPAM at the mailserver level, but without resorting to heavyweight statistical analysis or other heuristical (and error-prone) approaches. What this means is that due to some small changes on our end, you will receive a lot less SPAM without having to install additional software or configure message rules in your email program. Initially there were some minor technical issues which caused certain emails to bounce and others to be delayed. These issues were not experienced by all clients, but thanks to the feedback provided by the clients who did experience these issues, we were able to have them corrected as quickly as possible. If you receive feedback from any of your clients reporting possible issues when trying to email you, please advise them to try again. If the email is still not received within 24 hours, please notify us immediately (along with the email address of the person sending the message) so that we can check our logs and possibly manually add their email address to our "safe senders" list. Greylisting has only been enabled for 48 hours, yet in this short time we have seen a SPAM decrease of 60% We would greatly appreciate your feedback and don't hesitate to call or email if you have any questions or concerns. Kind Regards Peter Newsome
