Dear %PERS_NAME% I was at my local shopping centre on the weekend and noticed that they had started putting-up Christmas decorations and it made me realise how quickly the last twelve months has flown by, and now we're about to head into one of the busiest times of the year. It's usually at this time of year that there are a lot of events happening - End-of-year break-ups, Work Christmas Parties, Family get-together's and the list goes on and given how busy everyone is, sometimes it isn't always possible to attend every event. So how can we share the happenings of these events, the photos, the jokes, the stories etc. without wasting time and clogging-up peoples mailboxes? The answer is simple - setup a Blog! So What Exactly Is A Blog? A Blog (which is an abbreviation of the term Web Log) is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed with the most recent at the top of the page. Blogs have taken-over as the preferred medium for "personal websites" and have also been used for corporate purposes (such as replacing newsletters to clients and updating shareholders on recent events within the business). Why are Blog's So Popular and Why Should I Have One? The reason Blogs have become so popular is due to their simplicity - updating a blog is as simple as witting a letter using Microsoft Word! Sure, Blogs may not appeal to everyone but if you're seriously considering whether or not a blog is for you, then have a look at this article I wrote - To Blog or Not To Blog. That's it for this edition of the Ingenuity Newsletter Warm Regards Peter Newsome
