Price
With any business product, price is always important and there are many hosting companies with incredibly cheap hosting packages. Don't let the price of a hosting package fool you. Often the cheapest providers house their web servers outside Australia (as the United States of America provide very cheap bandwidth). Due to time differences and the fact that the host’s tech staff are not physically able to maintain the systems, delays can be experienced when things go wrong.
There are some hosting companies out there who have great prices, a full range of features and guarantee dedicated support. Price may be important, but just remember that there is much more to consider when choosing a quality web hosting provider.
Disk Space / Storage Space
Disk space / storage space (or sometimes referred to as webspace) is the amount of physical storage space a web host allocates to you to store your website’s files. Some web hosting providers claim to provide you with hundreds of megabytes of space, and although having extra is always good, most business websites don’t require any more than 20Mb – 50Mb (often considerably less).
Some providers oversell the amount of disk space, claiming to provide you with more space than their servers physically have. This is done with the assumption that most clients will never use anywhere near the amount of space they have available. Be wary when you see companies that offer very large amounts of space with their packages.
