Think about what you have to offer, how you offer this product or service and what problem it solves for your visitors then prepare your content so as to address that problem. For example, if you design websites. People are always looking for someone to design/redesign or update their website... your website should identify common issues with having a poorly designed site, give examples of sites that you have worked on in the past and provide answers to common questions that people always ask when they contact you for the first time. Write simply, write short, write clearly. As time goes on, remember to keep your site up-to-date with fresh information.
